| Melissa - Practice Manager After graduating from Augsburg College in 2009, Melissa joined the Douglas Animal Hospital team in October 09'. Melissa loves being surrounded by animals and finds great joy in being able to make this her life's work. Melissa is currently working on her Masters Degree in Business Administration in Multi-Sector Health Care Management at St. George's University. |

| Dr. Heather Douglas - Veterinarian & Owner Dr. Heather Douglas graduated from St. George's University in Grenada in 2006. She is originally from California, but has fallen in love with Minnesota and is here to stay. She has a special interest in holistic animal care through acupuncture, food therapy diets and herbal supplements. She developed an interest in holistic animal care when she realized that there were alternatives to what she learned to do medically and surgically in veterinary school. Having knowledge in alternative medicine has given her an extra tool in her back pocket, so to speak. This gives her the ability to use multiple modes of treatment for her patients. Dr. Douglas holds a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science from Purdue University, a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from St. George’s University in Grenada, and she just finished her Masters in Business Administration in Multi-Sector Health Management at St. George’s University. She loves to travel and spends time in Grenada as often as possible, especially during the winter. In her free time she enjoys scuba diving, photography, cooking, watching football, hanging out with friends and her cat Clover. |
| Ashley - Certified Veterinary Technician Ashley recently joined our team and we're delighted to have her on board! She is greeted each night by her Siamese cat, Mocha. Ashley is especially interested in surgery and loves new puppy/kitten visits. |
| Jorden - Certified Veterinary Technician Jorden graduated from MN School of Business in 2011 with an AS in Veterinary Technology. She has two adorable cats named Tuna and Jack. Jorden has a special interest in dentistry and surgery. |
| Sally - Professional Groomer Sally loves animals and considers herself lucky to have a career that lets her spend time with them every day. She grooms all types of dogs, but especially loves Miniature Schnauzers and Siberian Huskies. Outside of work, Sally enjoys spending her time with family and her two cats. |
| Jesse - Certified Veterinary Technician Jesse graduated from Argosy University in January 2006 as a Certified Veterinary Technician. Since then he acquired two stray kitties, Lyndee and Ray Ray, thanks to some loving coworkers. Jesse has been married for a little over 5 years his spare time he enjoys bowling, golfing, and playing tennis. |
| Kayla - Patient Care Coordinator Kayla graduated from the University of Nebraska in 2011 with a B.S. in Animal Science. She is planning to apply to veterinary school in the next few years and is excited to be able to share her passion for animals with the Douglas Animal Hospital community. In her spare time, Kayla bowls competitively and goes home to visit her family and adorable kitten in Grand Rapids MN. |
